Privacy Policy

The short version: There are no accounts. Editing, alignment, and video creation all happen locally on your device. The one exception is the AI Content Studio: while you use it, your business details — and, if you choose photo-based captions, a downscaled copy of the before/after photos you're working on (with any GPS/location stripped first) — are sent to an AI service to write captions and generate artwork. Details below.

Your photos & projects

Every photo you add, project you save, brand kit, preset, and setting is stored only on your device. Editing, alignment, and video creation happen locally. Your photos are never uploaded — nothing is shared unless you choose to, using your device's share sheet.

Camera, photo & motion access

Camera access is used for the Ghost Camera and for taking photos inside the app. Photo-library access is used only for the photos you pick. Motion & orientation access is used only by Ghost Camera, to sense when you're holding the phone steady. Camera frames are analysed on your device and are never transmitted.

AI Bulk Import, Ghost Camera & location data

AI pair-matching, auto-align, and Ghost Camera's alignment all run on your device — no cloud AI is involved in any of them. If your photos contain EXIF details (time, GPS location, or the direction the camera was facing), those are read locally to match before/after pairs, sort your work, and help Ghost Camera line up. This data never leaves your device.

AI Content Studio

This is the only feature that sends anything off your device, and only while you are using it. To write captions and generate poster artwork, GalaRay sends your business name, business category, phone number (if you've entered one), brand colour, and any style request you type to our service, which passes them to OpenAI to produce the words and artwork. If you use the photo-based caption option, a downscaled copy of the before/after photos you're working on is also sent so the AI can describe the actual work shown — any GPS or location data is stripped before sending, and your full-resolution originals never leave your device. Poster artwork is assembled on your device by placing your own photo onto the returned design. We don't store any of this, and if you'd rather send nothing at all, simply don't use the AI Content Studio.

Connecting your Google Business Profile

Connecting a Google account is entirely optional and only happens if you tap Connect yourself. Sign-in uses Google's own consent screen; GalaRay never sees or stores your Google password. We store a single access credential on our server so we can publish on your behalf, and you can revoke it at any time from Settings in the app, or from your Google account's permissions page.

When you choose to publish a post, the finished before/after image is uploaded to a temporary, unlisted address so that Google can retrieve it — this is required because Google fetches post images by link rather than accepting them directly. That copy expires automatically and is not used for anything else.

Payments

Subscriptions and one-time purchases are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never receive or store your payment details. Those stores process billing under their own privacy policies.

Third parties & tracking

The app contains no advertising or analytics trackers, and we never sell or share your data. The third parties involved are OpenAI, used solely to generate AI Content Studio captions and artwork from the business details (and, for photo-based captions, the downscaled photos) described above; and Google, only if you choose to connect your Business Profile in order to publish posts.

Children

GalaRay is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 13.
